In my senior year of high school, I became interested in health & fitness. I began working out, eating better and fell in love with nutrition, however, my true passion was writing.
I went off to community college and majored in Journalism then from there, I went to earn my Bachelors in English not knowing what I truly wanted to do was nutrition. I often doubted myself and my abilities so I just took the easy way out and focused on what I was actually good at. I didn’t challenge myself. Not to say college was easy because it wasn’t, but I truly didn’t know that I was meant for something else.
AFTER COLLEGE, I FOUND THE INSTITUTE FOR INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION. BUT, BEING A COLLEGE GRADUATE, I DIDN’T HAVE THE FUNDS TO SHELL OUT MONEY TO DO SOMETHING I DIDN’T FEEL CONFIDENT IN, SO I FOUND MYSELF IN THE CORPORATE WORLD, LIKE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE AND I HATED IT. I DID NOT LIKE BEING CHAINED TO A DESK BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE MY OWN SCHEDULE, BUT HERE I WAS JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE MY AGE EARNING PEANUTS JUST TO PAY OFF MY COLLEGE DEBT.
I’m a hard-worker and I always have been, so I stayed dedicated to each job I took, but at the end of the day, I was never IN LOVE with any job I had because I always felt restricted.
Years later, I found IIN again and took it as a sign. This time I went for it and here I am! I’m passionate about helping moms find healthy brand swaps with added chemicals, preservatives, sugar or toxins.
I get juggling meal prep, taking care of the family, working long hours and trying to fit in working out because I’ve been there! I know the struggle and I’m here to help you figure out what to avoid in order to life a toxin-free lifestyle!
I offer 1:1 coaching, pantry makeovers, grocery shopping tours, restaurant support and farmers market tours. If you’d like to take advantage of my services, please send me an email: adashofhopee@gmail.com
I have a husband, two dogs, a 2-year old & due in January 2022. May how time flies by! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, writing, reading, being outside, working out and trying new local restaurants. I’m just a mom like you who is learning how to fit in enough time for self-care on top of taking care of a toddler. Is it easy? Nope. But, I can tell you that it’s so worth it!
